The Sun...

Hello everyone!

Last night I went on a walk with some of my sisters and a friend. We walked down on some trail near our house. As we strolled by the river the sun was just positioned right to get some great sun stars (I've been obsessed with them sense I first saw one a few years ago).

The Sun is the star at the center of the Solar System. It is almost perfectly spherical and consists of hot plasma interwoven with magnetic fields. It has a diameter of about 1,392,000 km, about 109 times that of Earth, and its mass (about 2×1030 kilograms, 330,000 times that of Earth) accounts for about 99.86% of the total mass of the Solar System. Chemically, about three quarters of the Sun's mass consists of hydrogen, while the rest is mostly helium. The remainder (1.69%, which nonetheless equals 5,628 times the mass of Earth) consists of heavier elements, including oxygen, carbon, neon and iron, among others. (Taken form Wikipedia)

We rely on the sun for a lot of things. Light, warmth, energy. With out the sun plants wouldn't grow. The sun is an amazing thing. But if the suns so great than it just makes me wonder how much greater is the one who designed it. We have these awesome creations around us every day but its good to stop and think about what it all means. I know that I would be better of if i did that more often.

In Hebrews 1:3 it says "The Son (Jesus) is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being..."

Psalm 113:3
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.

Hope all of you have an amazing day!~

-Mary
